Reinforced and Traditional Masonry

Advanced traditional techniques

Reinforced masonry and traditional masonry with reinforced concrete frames offer seismic-resistant and thermally efficient solutions. Thanks to modern technologies, these systems ensure safe, efficient buildings, adapted to meet the comfort needs for both summer and winter.

Traditional Masonry with Reinforced Concrete Frame

The most well-known system. It involves a load-bearing reinforced concrete frame, with brick infill. However, the major difference between the construction methods of the 1960s and today lies in adapting the most modern construction and energy standards to a system that has been tried and tested for over 60 years.

This results in a traditional system that has evolved with the latest technologies, making it seismic-resistant, cool in summer, and warm in winter.

Reinforced Masonry

No reinforced concrete frame, and no other material used to divide spaces. The iron reinforcement is inserted between the horizontal and vertical layers, followed by a bed of mortar.

This system is fully seismic-resistant and highly efficient from both a thermal summer-winter perspective. The block most commonly used is REI240.
